He has experience in both local and multinational entities specializing on Financial Reporting, Management accounting, Strategy formulation, Internal Controls formulation and implementation, Risk management, Statutory and regulatory compliance, Target setting and reviews and Performance management. Jacob has led and fostered results-driven finance teams to achieve performance targets and offered long-range planning, risk identification and mitigation. 


Jacob is Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He provides sound financial support and insights that help businesses make informed decisions. 


NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Major achievement is the designing of finance structures with complete manuals, policies, procedures, reporting structures, and other internal controls with clear reporting timelines.
  • Successfully did a system audit and Accounts Receivable clean up and billing to the tune of USD 1,000,000 within the projected timeframe and successfully settled for a multinational company in Kenya.
  • Led the team that formulated the strategy of an organization that was later successfully adopted by the board of directors and kickstarted its implementation.
  • Led the creation on a finance department from the scratch while ensuring right talent acquisition as well job allocations that led to an efficient department within the organization.
  • Has provided in-house and external training on various Financial Reporting standards, internal controls processes and the budgeting process.
  • Has regularly participated and provided leadership on budgeting process based on realistic targets and worked on quarterly rolling forecasts to compliment the annual targets.
